Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Coach Vellum. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Your account

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activity on your account
• You must provide accurate information during registration
• You must notify us of suspected unauthorized account use through the Coach Vellum Contact page

3. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

• Use Coach Vellum for any illegal purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users through the feed or community features
• Post content that is defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, or violates others' rights
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or access Coach Vellum's source code or systems
• Use automated tools to access Coach Vellum beyond permitted API use
• Share your account credentials with others
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use The Oracle for purposes that violate its safety guidelines (e.g., attempting to bypass content moderation)

4. Medical and health disclaimer

Coach Vellum is NOT a medical device. Coach Vellum, The Oracle, and nutrition features provide guidance and coaching — not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Do not rely on Coach Vellum for medical decisions. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call emergency services immediately.

• Fitness guidance is not a replacement for professional fitness training
• Nutrition guidance is not a replacement for consultation with a registered dietitian
• Oracle life coaching is not a replacement for licensed mental health care
• If you have chronic conditions, consult your doctor before making changes based on Coach Vellum's guidance

5. Content ownership

• You retain ownership of content you create (posts, comments, meal logs, etc.)
• You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use your content to operate Coach Vellum (display in the feed, show in your profile, and maintain service backups)
• Your Life Model is your private data — we do not claim license rights to use it beyond providing The Oracle's service
• We retain ownership of Coach Vellum's code, design, branding, and AI systems

6. Community features and user-generated content

Coach Vellum includes a feed, challenges, and community features. You are responsible for content you post publicly. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or community guidelines. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.

7. AI-generated content disclaimer

Coach Vellum uses artificial intelligence to generate some coaching responses. AI responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate despite our best efforts. You agree to evaluate AI responses critically and not rely on them for high-stakes decisions without independent verification.

8. Termination

• You can terminate your account anytime by deleting it from within the app
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms
• Upon termination, your data is deleted within 30 days per our Privacy Policy

9. Disclaimers

COACH VELLUM IS PROVIDED 'AS IS' WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT COACH VELLUM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TAAS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF COACH VELLUM. ANY LIMITATION OF LIABILITY REMAINS SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE LAW.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TAAS LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of Coach Vellum, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another party's rights.

12. Governing law and disputes

Governing-law and dispute-resolution terms remain subject to legal review and will be completed before these Terms are finalized.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
